Wool Log Homes

Something new ~ felted wool logs with a wood door that opens, a nice snug warm home for two hedgehogs.

Making progress

I am making progress on my scrappy blanket that I started over a year ago. I knit a few rows every evening and am slowly watching it grow into a full size blanket. I started this project to use up bits of leftover wool.

Custom order

I had fun with this order, a felted wool pumpkin pouch with felted critters.

Easter toys

I will be filling the shop with Easter toys over the next few weeks, this is what I have added so far.

Wool Balls

Colorful felted toy balls created with 100% wool, and covered in a crocheted wool yarn, set of four.
Measures 10" around. Balls come tucked inside a felted wool pouch.
A fun and safe toy for inside play.

Materials Needed

1 oz. Knitting Worsted Weight Yarn, your choice of color

Small amount contrasting color Knitting Worsted Weight Yarn

#6 Knitting Needles - 10"

Directions:

Cast on 30 Stitches.

Rows 1-6: Knit 1, Purl 1

Row 7: Knit across row.

Rows 8-14: Knit rows

Row 15: Bind off 11 stitches, knit across

Row 16: Bind off 11 stitches, knit across

Rows 17-21: Knit.

Row 22: Bind off.Fold knit piece in half. Sew piece together, beginning at top of head, across back and
down back side. Do not sew bottom together.
With a darning needle and contrasting yarn color make beak, cone and tail feathers.
Your hen is now ready to sit on her egg, I like to use solid wood eggs but the plastic Easter eggs will work.

measures 16” around. 7” tall
Tucked inside the tree house you will find 3 wood gnomes dresses in wool outfits and a wood mushroom.
Gnomes measure 2 1/2" tall
