New toys in the shop ~
Pumpkin play set, owls, Princess in the pea,Rapunzel and a leaf baby.

Natural dyeing

My son Chris and his girl friend Emily took a natural dye workshop while visiting Mexico this winter. The pictures were taken at a rug weaving studio in Tlacolula Oaxaca Mexico.
Some of the dyes used are cochineal, pomegranate (skin and flesh), bark, tea, and guajillo; they used limestone to change the colors.

Shop update

Lots of new things in the shop ~
Hens and chicks, bunnies,knitting kits, handwork kits, and play silks.

Antique shopping

We spent a beautiful Sunday shopping for antiques in Chester Vermont.

Hand woven dish towels

I finished my first pair of dish towels and am very happy with how they turned out; I will be keeping this set for myself.
Time to warp the loom again, trying to decide if I want to make more towels or place mats.

Monday shop update

Today I added some new toys to the shop:
Tree branch block set, felted wool crown, felted wool castle and a felted shoe complete with a mama doll and her children.

Valentine

I have added some Valentine theme toys to the shop.

Lucky me

Our local thrift store has an annual hobby sale, I was lucky to find lots of yummy yarn at a very low price. I have lots of ideas for my new yarn stash.

The Animals

I took a few pictures of the animals this morning as I did my morning chores.

Another play mat

I had fun making this play mat, I love the little leaf beds.

I have added some new crowns and a woodland play mat to the shop ` more toys coming soon.
